The Garmin Nuvi 1350t does not offer the consumer waterproofing features, and there are no voice activated navigation properties. The device does however have text to speech properties which will announce directions, street names, and necessary turns while in route. Unlike some other Nuvi models, this device does not integrate Bluetooth hands free, wireless call management functions. The device is also absent of an MP3 player, an audio book player, and a remote control. Garmin Locate™, while an attractive feature, is not supplied with this GPS system.

The Garmin Nuvi 1350t offers lane assist, a feature that is absent in models like the Nuvi 265wt. The lane assist features prepare the consumer way in advance for upcoming lanes and necessary driving maneuvers. Before the consumer comes close to an exit or area where lanes change and/or merge, the consumer gets a preview of upcoming interactions, exits, signage, and lane choices right on the Garmin Nuvi 1350t screen.
